Attendees of bricklaying courses in the north-east of England may see their chances of finding employment improve as a result of the new Budget.
Catriona Lingwood, chief executive of business support organisation Constructing Excellence in the North East, has stated that several measures outlined in last week's Budget will aid the construction trade in the area.
In a column for nebusiness.co.uk, she praised chancellor George Osborne for avoiding making reductions in capital spending, which she said was a "surprising and unprecedented boost" for the sector.
Ms Lingwood also said that many of the general business law changes implemented will benefit the construction trade, pointing to the decision to reduce the rates of taxation faced by corporations and small businesses.
This echoes the view expressed by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) last week, which said the chancellor has created a "Budget for jobs".
Kevin Green, chief executive of the REC, expressed confidence that the business tax breaks outlined will make it easier for companies to employ new staff.
