Here at Able Skills we offer all types of construction training, whether you are looking for; Bricklaying courses, Tiling courses, Carpentry courses, Decorating courses or Plastering courses we have training options available. Plastering is a popular training option here and in fact, is the first ever trade that we taught when we started back in 2003! These days we are much better at what we do. One reason for this is that we take pride in receiving feedback or reviews from our students which helps us to make positive changes to the way that we operate as well as identify what we are doing well. How do I get started?

 

If you are simply in need of DIY skills then our Introduction to Plastering course is perfect. Over a period of just 5-days you will come to grips with the fundamental skills of plastering. Although this is only a 5-day training program it is very comprehensive and will pack in a lot of knowledge and experience. Actually, this is such a good overall look at the basics that upon completion of this introductory course will be provided with an Able Skills certificate, assured by City & Guilds! Now, if you are seriously considering a career in the trade then there is no better starting option than our NVQ Level 2 Plastering Course! - This course is 8-weeks of hands-on practical training covering all aspects of plastering. The reason that we recommend this option is that upon completion of this course you will be ready to not only begin working but to take on an NVQ! An National Vocational Qualification will allow you to take your new-found skills beyond domestic properties and onto construction sites. During this plastering course you will be trained and assessed to achieve a variety of units as well as receive training which reflects ‘reality’ and also provides you with a comprehensive understanding of what you will need to do to eventually achieve the NVQ level 2 qualification. You are also welcome to visit our training centre in person, face-to-face we can discuss your options, provide advice and even take you on a tour around the centre and into our Plastering workshop so that you can see for yourself what is on offer here at the Able Skills.
