Being one of the first trades we offered training for, plastering is up there with our most popular courses. We get students from all over the world come to train in our plastering centre. With short courses and long courses, we can assure you that you’ll come here and learn some valuable skills.
Our longer courses have proven to be extremely popular as more and more students are looking to start a new career within the construction industry and they are choosing plastering as a way to do so. However, our short basic courses are also just as popular, with many looking to get the skills to carry out basic DIY jobs.
We have caught up with two of our current students that are on the second week of training and are looking to make a change with their careers. Both on different variations of plastering courses and they both have different stories to tell.
Mohammed
Firstly, we have Mohammed and he is loving his time at Able Skills. Originally, he just started with the Introduction to Plastering course and enjoyed it so much that he wanted to come back and complete a second week of training. Previously a Paint Sprayer, Mohammed decided that he wanted to use some re-training funds to get some plastering skills to carry out his own jobs in people’s homes. He was told about Able Skills by some friends that had previously retrained with us and is now looking at sending his sons to train with us. Mohammed hopes to come back in the future to complete Electrical Courses, Plumbing Courses and even a Gas Course.
Daniel
Next is Daniel, who is currently on the second week of our Accredited Plastering Course. Daniel is currently a Painter & Decorator and is looking to add some more skills to his work. Working self-employed is his game and he wants to be able to offer more work to his clients. He is really enjoying our brand new Accredited Course and is possibly looking at the Tiling Course in the future.
Both Daniel and Mohammed are here for different reasons, but they are both really enjoying training with us and getting some new skills.
