Those who are currently studying - or who have already completed - plumber courses may welcome news that the Reheat Britain campaign has reached the House of Commons.
Builders Merchants Journal notes that Richard Younger-Ross, the Liberal Democrat MP for Teignbridge, tabled an early day motion regarding the campaign.
According to the site, the motion states that the scheme, which calls for a boiler scrappage initiative, would support existing jobs for a range of people, including plumbers, suppliers and builders who are suffering as a result of the recession.
The paper also states that households could save a significant amount of money if they were to install new boilers and also make a positive contribution to the environment by reducing the amount of carbon emissions that are produced on an annual basis.
According to the site, other signatories of the motion include Peter Bottomley MP, Lindsay Hoyle MP and Bob Spink MP.
