Engineers who have gained expertise from plumbing courses may be needed in the north-west of England, after construction firm Rok signed up to a new contract with AXA subsidiary Inter Partner Assistance.
The building firm's Liverpool office will provide heating, plumbing and electrical repair services for the institution's north-west centres, with Rok area leader Wayne Booth stating that several new appointments will be made as a result.
Students on plumbing courses and more experienced technicians will no doubt have had their interest piqued by this employment opportunity.
"This is a fantastic national contract win for Rok that will have a huge positive impact on the local offices across the north-west," added Mr Booth.
The firm intends to hire new staff because it believes the AXA agreement will lead to more demand for its services.
Earlier this month, Rok announced that its construction arm managed to complete an affordable housing programme eight weeks ahead of schedule.
