People who have finished a plumbing course may be needed to help with the construction of homes as part of a new government scheme.
In order to boost the amount of properties being built in the UK, housing minister Grant Shapps has announced six locations which will lead the build now, pay later initiative.
The programme will see properties built in areas including Telford, Hemel Hempstead and Nottinghamshire, with developers paying for the land on completion.
It is hoped the project will see 3,000 new houses built and around 18,000 people employed on the projects.
"Radical reform is needed to give a boost to developers and kickstart building so we can get the homes this country needs," Mr Shapps said.
Recently, communities secretary Eric Pickles welcomed measures that will get the housing industry moving again, something which could be of benefit to those who have completed an electrical course.
