A common job you can expect in the real world? Training that gives you a simple step by step guide on how to do it? Our City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing Course students were given a full breakdown of how to do a full Pass Over Bend today as instructor Richard demonstrated the process clearly in the above video!

The 15 minute demonstration video has been uploaded to our Youtube channel for you to use at your own discretion. This will come as a handy reminder for anyone currently on one of our Plumbing Courses, as well as when our students are out working in the real world!

Why is a Pass Over Bend important? Well All Pipe Skills Are!

Pipe skills are an essential aspect of Plumbing and remains a fundamental of the trade for all practicing Plumbers. What's vital for us is to provide training that is worth while and helps students build essential skills necessary for real life work.

Now the next advantage of having good pipe skills only really makes sense if you're an existing Plumber... and that's the fact that being able to carry out a Pass Over Bend means less likelihood of leaks as there are no fittings. It is a professional skill to have and the chances are that if you already hold a City & Guilds Level 2 Qualification or higher, then you will know how to perform one of these on queue!

It may be worth mentioning that the above video was taken from one of our Plumbing Centres where the City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing Course is held. Students who successfully complete this course will then consider undergoing the NVQ Level 2; making them stand out from anyone else on site.

Able Skills Plumbing Courses Are City & Guilds Accredited

Good question. Having a Plumbing Qualification means you receive a head start if you ever want to become a Gas Safe Registered Engineer.

"Why's that then?"

Because you're now eligible for our 5 week Qualified Plumber Gas Training Course, rather than the 7 week option! This is because we like to spend two weeks on pipe skills for those who are completely new entrants.
