One plumbing student really enjoyed his plumbing course at Able Skills and he is thoroughly looking forward to his new career as a Plumber. Here is his plumbing feedback:
"I have recently completed a City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing course here at Able Skills, and I think it’s safe to say I’ve enjoyed every minute of it!
The training and tuition here I received while studying here was second to none. Mike, my instructor, was extremely patient and professional, but also very friendly and personable. He had a lot of experience working on the tools, meaning he was able to give a lot of real-life examples. This made it easier to understand why we were learning certain aspects of the qualification. (and came in handy, when covering the not-so-interesting parts of the course!).
We were also set up with a smartscreen account on our start date, which helped massively when it came to the online exams.
The tools provided were of a good standard, and the bays we were in for practical assessments were sized well, too. I’m not saying these tools were the best money could buy, but for training purposes, they were more than adequate.
I was a complete new beginner when starting this course - with absolutely no experience, which I was slightly worried about before joining the course. But, after getting to know my classmates, I found most of us were in the same boat, which completely reassured me.Able Skills made this course easily affordable for me, as I only had to pay a £500 deposit a few months before my course started, and then nothing until I started training. This gave me time so save up a bit of money, and as I was only in the centre two weeks a month, I ended up paying under £350 per month! The course was structured (we worked on a 2 weekend on, 2 weekend off basis) so I found it very easy to fit my work commitments and personal life around the course.
Since leaving Able Skills, I have been working towards my NVQ Level 2, obviously I chose Able Skills for this route, too. They offer a fantastic price for Able Skills students, so a very loyal company as well!
Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Able Skills; I just wish the course was longer, so I didn’t have to leave!
Once I’ve completed my NVQ, I’m looking at doing an Introduction to Tiling and an Introduction Plastering course, so I can confidently cover all areas of bathroom installations… I just can’t keep away!Once again, I would like to give a special thanks to my tutor Mike for getting me through this course, and giving me the best tuition money can buy!
Anyone looking to learn a new skill or change career… This is the place for you!"
