There may be more demand for electrical courses in the future if landlords take on more professional attitudes to their work, which one industry source suggests is necessary.
Chairman of the Residential Landlords Association Alan Ward explained in his Avoid the Voids webinar that there is no longer a place for the amateur landlord.
He noted that anyone who rents out a property must be professional in the way that they deal with their tenants, but also with the manner in which they treat the house itself.
This could mean that professionals who have completed electrical courses are in greater demand in future, with landlords wanting to employ quality engineers to carry out alterations to buildings.
"It is not just about buying the property, getting the tenant in, sitting back and rolling in the money. You have got to look after that property and particularly the people who are in it," stated Mr Ward.
This week, the Land Registry reported that the average house price in England and Wales enjoyed a year-on-year rise of 7.5 per cent in March to £164,288.
