A new project set to be carried out in North Lincolnshire could increase interest in PV courses.
According to the Scunthorpe Telegraph, 3,000 solar panels will be fitted to the roofs of homes in the area, potentially cutting people's utility bills.
Andy Orrey, chief executive of North Lincolnshire Homes, a non-profit organisation owning nearly 10,000 properties in the region, described such green power generators as being financially viable.
With so many of the devices due to be installed, more tradesmen may consider taking PV courses so they are trained to work on such equipment.
"This is a very exciting project ... not only in terms of cutting carbon emissions in the region by using renewable energy, but on the implications in cutting tenants' energy bills," Mr Orrey told the publication.
