Electrical course take-up could be set for a boost after details of the Victor and Percy Careers Roadshow were announced.
Initiated by Country and Town Maintenance (CTM) - which was established in 1996 and offers electrical and plumbing services to domestic and commercial clients across Manchester and Cheshire - the roadshow aims to provide information and guidance on careers in the construction and property maintenance industry.
It also looks to raise awareness of issues affecting young would-be electricians and plumbers and promote the need for apprentices.
Chris Tomlinson of CTM commented: "We are becoming interested in the needs of apprentices now as we believe there will be a shortage of skilled labour in ten years time."
And it could be that the number of people interested in starting an electrical or plumber course increases as a result of the roadshow, if attendants take heed of the firm's advice and guidance.
