Technicians on electrical courses may be happy to hear that Sainsbury's bosses plan to redevelop the company's store on Wandsworth Road in London.
The supermarket giant intends create an 80,000 sq ft supermarket at the site, with an underground car park, although the full proposals have not yet been submitted to Lambeth Council, according to PropertyWeek.com.
As well as the redevelopment of the supermarket itself, tradesmen with electrical course qualifications may be needed during the construction of up to 800 residential units above the shop that form part of the current plans, the news provider added.
It revealed that the company intends to submit its proposals to the local authority early next year.
Another new development being built by the supermarket is in Faversham in Kent, with a spokesperson suggesting construction is nearly completed.
"We are delighted that works are progressing well and look forward to opening in the spring," he told the Faversham Times.
