Electrical course students could find employment opportunities on a construction site in Slough, after Segro announced plans to speculatively build three industrial units.
Graeme Steer, senior development manager at the firm, explained that the buildings will deliver 124,000 sq ft at the Slough Trading Estate, with construction on the first one already taking place.
Engineers with electrical course training could be required on the site at various points over the next year or more, as Segro does not expect to complete the project until some time in 2012.
Regional director for Thames Valley industrial at the firm Paul Lewis added: "With our low vacancy rate, these speculative buildings are required to meet the demand that we're experiencing already this year."
Last month, Justin Reed was appointed to the position of group finance director, having previously worked for Euro Disney, Bankers Trust and Speedy Hire.
He will take up his new role on August 30th 2011.
