Should Gas safety tests go ahead?
Our Gas courses are currently on hold due to the outbreak. With the current uncertainty, we are all facing there are concerns put forward by Gas Engineers who are currently on the job. The concern is that the usual Gas Safety checks required in rented homes could cause the spread of the virus and subsequently, they are calling for a pause on all tests for a period of time. Similar to how MOTs have been put on the backburner for 6-months. However, the government has said that this could propose a risk to tenants. This is a confusing time for all of us, who should be working, who is essential, what tasks should be carried out...Hopefully, all of these questions will be resolved and put to bed when the pandemic is under control.

At this moment in time, all of our training is suspended due to the pandemic and we aim to be back in full effect as soon as possible. We will be getting everyone who was in the middle of training or had a course due to start back on track via hiring additional staff and offering things like extra weekend training and so on. Our New Entrant Gas Training Package 2 is the perfect starting point for anybody who is serious about becoming a professional in this trade. We have put all of the elements needed into one complete package. Starting with 7-weeks of hands-on practical training and classroom-based theory classes. Next, work placement! Following the completion of this 7-week gas training, you will be deemed competent to undertake supervised gas work and so the next step towards Gas Safe registration will be to demonstrate your competence in the work-place and you do this by working alongside a Gas Safe Registered Engineer who acts as your on-site recorder/verifier, helping you to build a portfolio of evidence and prove your competence and safety working with Gas.
