If you are looking to become an electrician as a complete novice then this is a great option to get you started, here at Able Skills we provide our students with everything they could possibly need to effectively learn the trade of electrics. What will I learn?
In effect, you will learn to become an electrician from scratch over a 7-week period. That may seem daunting, however, our instructors have years of experience teaching and they have organised the course in an intuitive manner that will see you start with the fundamentals and work towards more advanced aspects of the trade. You will learn both the theory side in a classroom and the practical skills at workstations in conjunction. The course will also provide an understanding of the Health & Safety requirements governing electrical installation processes, and knowledge of the organisation and structure of the electrical industry within which these activities are carried out.
How do I get involved?
We currently have 8-spaces available on this course starting in May of this year. Enrolling is easy and can be done online via our website, over the phone via 01322 280 202 or by coming in to pay us a visit in person! While you're here you can even take a look around our training centre to see for yourself the great work that we do here, our facilities, materials, equipment, appliances and much more. We are confident in the training that we provide at Able Skills which is why we do not take payment in full up front. We are happy to take a deposit to secure a booking with any balance being paid in interest free installments.
Want to get involved but can't find the time?
If you are interested in becoming an electrician with our help but you cannot take 7-weeks out of work or away from prior engagements - Then be aware that we do offer some alternative training methods...We provide these options to give everybody the opportunity to change carers and better their lives: The first is 'Part-time' which simply means that you can complete the entire qualification over a series of weekends, (2-weekends a month) you will receive the same award upon completion the only difference is the length of time this electrician course will take to complete. Another option is 'Home-Study' which is a great option for those with limited time on their hands, our Home Study Electrics Level 2 is easy to understand - First you will be provided with a 'Home-study Pack' and access to the online learning platform 'Smart-screen' with these two tools you shall learn the theory at home...Then when you feel confident in this new knowledge (We recommend at least 6-weeks) you will need to book 4 separate weeks in which to attend our facility to learn the practical side and complete assessments! Hopefully these options may be helpful to those of you seeking a new career opportunity with limited time.
