We run a huge variety of trades here at Able Skills including both Plumbing courses and Gas courses. These two trades are very similar in many ways, from the tools used, appliances handled, the use of pipes and much more. We also know that many professional plumbers seek gas training at some point in their career...This is because having the ability to provide both services makes you much more of a versatile trader and allows for more opportunity in terms of work and earnings. S0...We offer a combined course (City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing & Gas Course) that sees you take on both Plumbing & Gas in one course; obviously we do not expect you to learn two trades at the same time, instead you will learn the two one after another starting with plumbing. - Get ahead of the game with our combined course!
Plumbing training here at Able Skills.
The course will start with 6-weeks of plumbing training and then 5-weeks of gas training. Starting with the very basics and moving on as the weeks progress to more advanced aspects of each trade respectively. You will learn the skills required to become a Plumber and receive training to start your journey towards becoming a Gas Engineer. This package is suited to those of you who know a Gas Safe registered Engineer who would be prepared to take you under their wing to enable you to complete the mandatory portfolio of competence. - You will need to complete a portfolio outlining evidence that shows that you can carry out gas work to a good standard, efficiently and safely.
Gas Training at Able Skills.
The City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing & Gas Course is particularly useful for those aspiring to become self-employed at some point. Offering the two trades will provide you some type of constant work. There are some other aspects needed to begin working out in the industry when it comes to gas and this combined course will not get you all the way there, but will give you an unbelievable start at a discounted rate! You will need to complete and ACS assessment - Which we offer here at our centre also and you will need to be registered with the 'Gas Safe Register' as it is a legal requirement for anybody working with gas in the UK. - Find out more information about applying here: gassaferegister.co.uk
