Technicians who have completed plumbing courses could see new work opportunities appearing as the warmer months approach, if one company is to be believed.

Trade Plumbing suggested that more people may consider replacing their domestic heating system during spring and summer, since they have less need for their radiators during that time.

Engineers with plumbing course training could be asked to install a variety of appliances, from combi boilers to central heating radiators.

"When the weather is warm, your heating may be the last thing on your mind, but the summer months are the perfect time to think about changing your heating system," explained the company.

It went on to note that homeowners who have insufficient water pressure in their property may wish to stick to a traditional boiler, or opt for an open vent machine.

This week, five plumbing students at York College were handed prizes for their outstanding efforts at the educational establishment's annual construction awards, according to the York Press.
