What's Included?
If you are looking to begin a career in Bricklaying, then there is no better course than our Bricklaying Diploma Level 2 Course is perfect. This course is a real mix of both practical and theory-based assessments, you should already have a little understanding of the trade and possibly have some DIY skills under your belt. This course is 10-weeks in total and will aim to give you a full understanding of not only the ability to correctly carry out bricklaying but also aims to give you an understanding of the industry as a whole. This is a very in-depth, intensive course, the knowledge and skills that you will gain from your time at Able Skills will put you in a fantastic position when it comes to looking for bricklaying work/employment. You will learn the following...
You will learn a variety of Bricklaying and associated skills in order to achieve the following units:
- Building solid walling, isolated and attached piers
- Interpreting working drawings to set out masonry structures
- Construct cavity walling forming masonry structures
In addition, you will learn:
- Health, safety and welfare in construction
- Principles of building construction, information and communication
These additional units will ensure that you are able to:
- Read drawings and specifications
- Complete method statements and risk assessments
- Keep a clean work area
- Work safely at all times

In need of accommodation? We provide training to students from all over the county and even abroad. We provide our own accommodation, situated just a short walk away from our training centre. Accommodation is available to book for the duration of your course for just £20 per night! - If you are interested make sure to contact us ahead of your courses' starting date as spaces are limited!
