Plumbing Courses at Able Skills.
This course is the perfect way to start your plumbing career. Plumbing is a trade that is in need of competent workers yet isn't a trade that's going anywhere, businesses, homeowners, construction projects, commercial building and much more all need the services of professional plumbers and will do for years to come. We have a great reputation for producing professionals of a high standard and have been teaching courses like this for almost 20-years! Over the 6-weeks you will learn through a mix of classroom-based lessons that will focus on the theory behind plumbing, how appliances work and operate, water theory, the definitions for processes, tools, equipment and even a look at aspects like safe isolation of electrical equipment and various topics including electrical principles and processes, common plumbing processes, cold water systems, domestic hot water systems, Sanitation, central heating systems and drainage systems. The rest of the course will focus on gaining some real hands-on experience carrying out common tasks and gaining the skills and ability you'll need on a regular basis out in the industry.
Keeping safe?
Some people may be concerned by training at a centre at the moment. However, we are doing our absolute best to ensure that we are providing a space to learn and develop your skills that is safe and reliable. We are maintaining social distancing and keeping safe in many different ways including reducing the number of students on each course, keeping tools and equipment used by each students separate, mandatory use of face coverings, hand sanitation throughout the centre and we are keeping our units and workshops clean with our fogging machine on a regular basis. As it stands, following the Government announcement on 31st October, we are remaining open keeping in line with government guidelines which state that you can continue to travel to venues or amenities that are open for education. We will continue to keep updated with the guidelines and make changes when needed.

If you live a considerable distance from our centre then you may have already thought about booking a hotel in the local area. We actually offer our own accomodation exclusively to our students. Our accomodation buildings are all located just a short walking distance from our centre and can be booked for the reasonable price of just £20 per night! The properties will provide you with your own fully furnished room with washing facilities and TV. There are several bathrooms/WCs as well as fully fitted kitchens and a dining areas to eat and/or meet your fellow students. - If interested make sure to contact us well ahead of your Plumbing courses with us a spaces are limited and often go quickly!
