Nick On His Level 2 Plumbing Course
Just recently we launched another one of our Plumbing Courses - The City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing Course which is designed for those who are new to the industry and want to starting working on site as soon as possible.
Student Nick Smith is one of the latest students to start on such course and what better way to give the outside world an exclusive inside look as to what our Plumbing Courses are really like other than an in depth review by one of our students. We asked him a series of questions which you can read below!
So Why Plumbing?
Well I come from a mechanical engineering background and Plumbing out of all the trades appealed to me the most in terms of what I would enjoy working on with my hands. I'm used to hands on work and it's safe to say my instincts were right!
Why The City & Guilds Level 2 Specifically?
It's a very good starting point for someone like me who wants to get into domestic plumbing as a career.
Nick is definitely right here as the Level 2 teaches students the skills and knowledge of what they can expect to come across in the real world. The City & Guilds accreditation is a real bonus as the qualification is recognised world wide!
And How Are You Finding It So Far?
I'm really enjoying it! It's challenging but a good challenge for me and the course provides you with everything you need to successfully pass the course. My Instructor Jim is also very helpful and is always there to give me advice when I need it.
What About Your Plans After The Course?
Well firstly I want to work for a Plumbing company to gain some industry experience which will give me a chance to apply everything I learn here. After I get enough experience working on the tools I then want to eventually work for myself.
This is definitely a popular move for anyone that has undergone Plumbing Courses here. Everyone wants to work for themselves and we give students the opportunity to do so!
