Next up is Patrick, a farmer by trade, who has travelled from Ireland to do a plastering course at Able Skills.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself, what course are you currently doing and why?
“My name is Patrick and I’m from Ireland. I did the two-week plastering course. First the introduction to plastering and this week the more advanced one.
I have a rental property that I want to renovate. I just wanted to learn a new skill and I heard good reviews about Able Skills.”
What did you think about the plastering course?
“The training was excellent.
The instructors Joe and Neil were really brilliant, and I can’t believe how much I’ve learnt in two weeks.
It was really fantastic, and Neil and Joe made everything so simple, and I can’t believe how much I learnt – even on the first day, from the get-go we were doing loads!”
After completing the course, what will you do next?
“I’m a farmer in Ireland, so I’ll be going back to do that. I have a rental property and I want to renovate it so the skills will come in very handy.”
Will you be coming back to Able Skills to do any other construction courses?
“I hope to do the plumbing course and the tiling course.”
