Our Tiling Courses are growing in popularity each week and more and more people are choosing tiling as a potential carry option for themselves. This is exactly what recent tiling student, Jack has done.
Jack had been jumping around different jobs since finishing University, such as labouring, temping, and bar work. However, he got to a point where it was time to get into a career he might enjoy and tiling was something that took his interest straight away.
Initially, Jack booked the City & Guilds Tiling Course and completed the six weeks of training here at our centre in Dartford. He was very successful student in his course and received high praise from both his tutors. After looking at career options into the industry, he realised that getting an NVQ would be the perfect route for him getting onto site.
Taking into account his City & Guilds qualification, Jack came to us an upgraded to the NVQ. This meant his only had to complete an extra two weeks of training before going out to get his on-site assessments.
His extra two weeks really excelled his skills including a week in our plastering centre.
After successfully completing his on-site assessments and achieving his NVQ, Jack was then able to get his CSCS Card as a qualified Tiler.
Jack is now having a fantastic start to his career and is really enjoying what he is doing. He is working on building sites across the UK and even completing some private work at the weekends.
