Student feedback from the Able Skills 3-Week DIY Tiling Course

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and why you have decided to learn tiling?

My name is Victor Sylvester. I'm from North London. I'm doing the tiling course.

I actually have a project in the Caribbean. Because I'm a retiree now, so I'm going out to the Caribbean after this to do my tiling project.

How did you find out about Able Skills and what made you choose us over other construction training providers?

I Googled it!

I was looking for a tiling course and there were tiling courses all over the country but because I live in North London, I thought I’d come here.

I also know somebody else that did a plumbing course here and they recommended it so that helped.

How have you found the facilities and the training overall?

Facilities are good. Training has been excellent. I initially only signed up for one week to do the introduction and this is my now my third week so that's how exciting it's been. It's been very very good, I've learned a lot. It was above expectations.

Are you planning on coming back to Able Skills to do any other courses?

I'm returning to do the plumbing. When I get back from the Caribbean, I think I'm going to carry on with a tiling and maybe try and do another two or three weeks to get the City & Guild certificate because I really enjoy it!
