A decision on which football club will take over the Olympic Stadium is getting closer, but technicians on plumbing courses are likely to be needed on-site no matter who wins.
The Olympic Park Legacy Committee (OPLC) has announced that the final showdown is between rival Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
Both sides have revealed what they propose to do with the venue if they become the official tenants, with engineers who have taken plumbing courses likely to be required in either case.
While West Ham have said they want to retain the athletics track and convert the 80,000-seater stadium into a 60,000 capacity football ground, Spurs have decided against pledging to keep the running loop.
Commenting on the situation, chairman of the OLC Baroness Ford said: "We started this process to ensure the very best legacy for the stadium and we are now at a point where we have selected the two strongest bids."
The football teams are keen to move into a larger and more modern ground than their own Upton Park and White Hart Lane venues.
