The choice between Home-Study & Virtual Electrician courses!
Recently we have been promoting our new Virtual Training Electrician courses. We also have 'Home-Study' options for the same courses, so what is the difference? Also, why would I pick one over the other? Well, both of these options have the same values, they aim to get you started with the theory-side of a qualification from the comfort of your own home. One through live sessions with an instructor and videos and one through working through a comprehensive 'Home-Study Pack'. The main difference is that one you will be required to attend live sessions, the other allows you to work at your own pace.
For somebody who is still working and looking to retrain then the Home-Study option may be more relevant, if you live a busy lifestyle and cannot commit to attending live sessions then you may want to take it upon yourself to work through the home-study materials at your own leisure. However, if you don't have a lot going on right now and you want to kick-start a career in the trade then the Virtual training options will give you structure and a schedule to learn within which can be helpful for those who find it hard to find the motivation to work alone, learning with a group may be more viable for you. Honestly, it all depends on personal preference - If you like the idea of training with others online then opt for Virutal training, if you can work through the home-study pack effectively on your own then take that route.
Both of these options end in the same result. The same qualifications and the same need for practical training here at Able Skills eventually to learn the practical skills and complete assessments. You will effectively learn the exact same theory whether you are taking a Home-Study Level 2 or one of our Virtual training Level 2 Electrician courses. Here in Dartford, Kent we are slowly but surely bringing in more students. We need to reduce the number of students at our centre at any given time which is why we are offering as many options s possible for these electrician courses.
