The dangers of Gas leaks!

 

West Midlands Fire Service were called to Childs Avenue, in the Woodcross area, shortly before 6.30pm on Saturday to reports of a gas leak in the area. Approximately 30 occupants were evacuated, including adults and children, a fire service spokesman confirmed. They are believed to be from the Childs Avenue and Darby Close area. A section of the street, at it's junctions with Woodcross Lane and Nally Drive, was still cordoned off at around 8pm on Saturday. A gas engineer was on site and had isolated the leak – with a decrease of gas in the area, the spokesman added and the issue has now been resolved.

 

 

But this brought to light, again the seriousness of Gas leaks and the devastation that they can cause. This time of year is definitely not the time you want to deal with Gas problem, especially before Christmas. So...If you haven't had your boiler services in a long time then now is the time! Employing a Gas Safe Registered Engineer to come and service your boiler is quick, simple and inexpensive and could save you money, time and the lives of your family members!

We suggest to students that they take on the New-entrants Gas Training Package 2 because this particular package includes everything you need to start out as a Gas Enigneer! Starting with 7-weeks of intense hands-on training, then moving on to portfolio completion and finally an ACS assessment! This course is taught by instructors that know the trade inside out - so take advantage of this situation and try to absorb as much information as you can including tips and tricks that they have discovered throughout their years working out in the industry. You will learn everything starting with the basics and moving on towards the more advanced aspects of the trade.
