This Week In Tiling!
This week in our tiling centre our students having been putting in some great work on their respective courses. We offer a range of tiling courses from Introduction to Tiling to more advanced training like our City & Guilds Tiling Course and even NVQ's. Tiling is a great source of income that is accessible for everyone. Above are some recent videos of our tiling centre where students gain practical experience week after week. Whilst on one of our tiling courses you will get your own workstation and all of the materials and tools you could possible need will be provided. Our instructors Keith & Micheal are experts in the trade and will guide you through demonstrations and 1-on-1 guidance. Tiling is a trade that can worked on a self-employed basis which makes it an excellent long-term career, the opportunities are endless.

If you are looking to start a career as a tiler then the best way to start is achieving a qualification. Our City & Guilds Tiling Course is the perfect starting point for anybody looking to start a successful career in the trade. The course is 6-weeks (Can also be taken over a series of weekends) in total and will teach you to become a tiler from start to finish, starting with the absolute basics and progressing to more advanced aspects of the trade. You will learn how to tile both wall and floor areas and gain a complete understanding of the requirements for any area you are planning to tile...
There will be assessments along the way such as a Health & Safety test as well as practical tasks like tiling a plain wall - By the end of the course you will have acquired a variety of skills and will have confidence in your ability, after completing the assessment tasks below you will be faced with creating a final presentation of work...You will display your new skills and produce a product of work that is both domestically and commercially acceptable in the real working environment.By was of being allocated a work station that is set up similar to an average domestic bathroom where (to your own design) you can produce work that would represent a real working environment.
Assessments will be:
- Unit 115: Cutting and Fixing Decorative Panels
- Unit 116: Cutting and Fixing Tiles to Wet Areas
- Unit 117: Tiling Floors with a Border
Tiling final presentation.

If you live a considerable distance from our training centre then you may want to consider booking our accommodation. We have 3-locations available all within walking distance of our training centre here in Dartford, Kent for the reasonable price of £20 per night - Make sure to give us a call ahead of when your course is due to start as spaces are limited!
