Those people who have completed - or are currently studying - plumbing courses may welcome the formation of a new taskforce by the Department for Energy and Climate Change.
In a statement from the body, it was announced that the Domestic Heating and Hot Water taskforce held its first meeting yesterday (October 19th).
The session was chaired by energy and climate change minister Lord Hunt of Kings Heath and aims to bring about a "radical change" in the way the UK produces its carbon emissions.
According to the governmental department: "The taskforce has been set up to allow government and industry to work together to find the most cost effective and realistic way of meeting the climate change goals."
Lord Heath, who recently addressed the Gas Infrastructure World Caspian Conference 2009, said that if an environmentally-friendly method of heating homes can be found, then both climate change and costly bills can both be tackled.
