Tiling training courses may have become more popular over the last couple of months after the government revealed that the number of people taking advanced apprenticeships has increased.
According to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), the proportion of Britons completing these qualifications rose by 2,700 from 9,700 to 12,400 in the first three months of this academic year.
Further education, skills and apprenticeships minister Kevin Brennan commented: "These statistics show there has been a huge wave of success in the number of people achieving a training qualification and prove we are backing young Britain during the recession."
He added that the government will strive to increase the number of training opportunities for young people over the next few years.
It could be that the number of people with approved tiling qualifications may well have increased as a result of this improved take-up in advanced apprenticeships.
Kevin Brennan also oversees the Train to Gain programme and National Skills Academies.
