Workers with approved electrical qualifications are reaping the rewards of a development that will see new accommodation built for university students in Wrexham, according to the North Wales Daily Post.
The scheme is well underway and once complete will supply 156 flats to Glyndr University undergraduates, with another potential 665 units on the way depending on planning permission.
Roberts Homes Group's site manager Stuart Yale told the publication that the project had given a number of opportunities to local, qualified workers.
"As everything opens up there will be ten electricians, 15 joiners, six or seven plumbers and then plasterers and everyone else to come on top - there will be a fair number," he said.
In addition, he explained that giving a boost to the local economy is extremely important to the developers.
The Wrexham Village project has been wholly funded by Wrexham Football Club. Some £40 million has been invested, with all profits gained from the development going back to the club.
