The UK Construction Industry saw a rise in August and it was a higher rise than anticipated. An article on insider.co.uk stated:

Construction activity in the UK smashed expectations in August as infrastructure and housebuilding surged, but overall the sector remains on a downward trend.

According to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), output rose 3.5 per cent in August against the same period a year earlier, well beyond consensus predictions for a rise of 0.2 per cent.

UK Construction IndustryThis is fantastic news for the construction industry and the workers. In recent years we have seen a skills shortage across the industry as more work is being planned without the number of workers required. However, here at Able Skills we have seen more people looking to start a new career and join the construction industry. Therefore, this is cutting the skills gap, but more workers are still needed to meet the demand of new houses that need to be built across the UK.

With more houses needing to be built more skilled workers will be needed, this gives a fantastic opportunity for people looking to start a new career.

At Able Skills, we offer training across all the construction trades up to NVQ Level, as well as Plumbing, Electrical and Gas Qualification Training. We have seen a massive surge in new workers for the UK Construction Industry as they are seeing the job opportunities up and down the UK. Our training centre is always full of students working towards their qualifications to get the job they desire in construction.

From beginners to fully qualified in their trades, our students can go the full way with Able Skills to get the construction qualifications. We also come out and assess you on-site for you to complete your NVQ. An NVQ is required to gain a CSCS Card, which you need to have to gain entry onto and building site.
