Construction subcontractors in the north east of England are being given the chance to be selected for work on a range of new-build and housing refurbishment projects in the region.
Affordable housing builder, Wates Living Space, is looking for qualified and experienced contractors in a range of key trades – including bricklaying, plumbing, plastering, tiling, joinery and painting – and will be holding an open day at the Newcastle Gateshead Marriott on 13 February.
Wates’ regional managing director, Joanne Jamieson, said that they have a range of ongoing and new projects in the north east of England and are very keen to make use of local expertise.
“We are keen to continue to support subcontractors across the North East, a commitment that we fully intend will benefit the regional economy and local employment,” she said. “We have a solid network of reliable subcontractors on which we want to build and Meet the Buyer events are a perfect means to facilitating mutual benefit between us and our supply chain.”
