If you are looking to gain some insight into tiling on an introductory level or looking to grab a City & Guilds qualification in the trade but you have an existing job or prior arrangements that could hinder your ability to train with us - We would like to you be aware of our weekend training option, today we will talk about how that works and the courses available to you...
The way that weekend training works here at Able Skills is that instead of completing the course on a Monday-Friday basis you will learn the exact same skills over a series of weekends, at a rate of two weekends a month. All tools and materials are provided throughout the course, you will just need to ensure that you have suitable clothing and protective footwear (Steel toe capped boots). Our instructors are there to help you the entire way, they are complete experts on the topic of tiling and have years of experience gained from both working out in the industry on a daily-basis to now teaching here at our centre. Introduction to Tiling:
If you are simply looking for the basics or a taste of the trade then our Introduction to Tiling course could be the one for you. This course can be taken over two consecutive weekends and will aim to provide you with the fundamentals of the trade. This is a great hands-on course covering both wall and floor tiling and a fantastic introduction to tiling, this course has been so well received that City & Guilds have recognised it as a great introduction to the skill and therefore you will receive a certificate upon completion of this short course! This course is entirely hands-on and you will be tiling within minutes of arriving on the course, so come and put your weekends to use and gain a practical skill.
City & Guilds Tiling Course:
Now if you are thinking about switching careers to tiling then this is the perfect starting point! This City & Guilds Tiling Course will teach you everything you need to know to become a professional. Starting with the very basics to the more difficult aspects of tiling, this program of learning will see you competent to undertake the most difficult of tasks when it comes to the world of tiling. To complete this course on a weekend-basis it will take you 14-weekends. By the time you finish this City & Guilds tiling course you will have the ability to look at any potential job, understand the requirements of the work and prepare quotes for customers knowing that you can undertake the work efficiently, by the book and with confidence! If you live a considerable distance from our training centre here at Dartford, Kent - Be aware that we do have accommodation available exclusively to our students for the reasonable price of £20 per night! All accommodation is located a short walk away from our facility - If you are interested please contact us well ahead of when your course is due to start as spaces are limited!
