There may soon be greater demand for PV training in Wales after planning permission was granted by Caerphilly council for a solar panel park.
While two letters of concern were received by the local authority from nearby residents, there appeared to be little other resistance to the project, which will see 240 of the microgeneration devices fitted.
The items will be installed at Twyn-Gwyn Farm, Newbridge, which may need to hire technicians who have completed PV training courses to carry out the work.
According to officers from the council, the location of the solar panel park is suitable and there will be minimal visual impact.
In addition to the solar panels, a green control building is set to be built at the site.
This week, Paradigm Housing in Buckinghamshire highlighted how similar devices have been attached to its headquarters in Wooburn Green and are benefiting from the government's feed-in tariff scheme.
