What is The 'Work Safe' Campaign?
As of the 3rd of July, the government launched a new campaign called Work Safe (developed by TrustMark) focusing on what homeowners should expect from tradesmen and women working within their homes. The awareness campaign looks at the safety measures that should be in place to keep safe and minimise the spread of the pandemic. No doubt that these measures will still be in place and adhered to post-coronavirus. This is the only government endorsed quality scheme for tradespeople, and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
The coronavirus pandemic has been devastating here in the UK. Many people have been affected in different ways, may that be the loss of a family member, friend or uncertainty surrounding your employment and so on. This campaign aims to make sure that vital trade work can go ahead within peoples homes with the least amount of exposure or chance that the virus can spread ensuring safety for all. This three-part guide will help you know what to do before, while and after you have tradespeople working for you. The booklet gives practical advice to homeowners about what COVID-safety measures should be discussed and carried out.
