Whether looking to gain the fundamentals or achieve a more advanced award we have got you covered. Students travel from across the country and even from abroad to gain the practical skills and theoretical understanding to become a professional plumber, over the years we have gained a reputation for providing a solid foundation for anyone looking to make that first step into a new career! Obviously, at this moment in time, our office is closed and we are not providing training courses of any kind, however, let's look at what plumbing courses look like and what is learnt typically at our centre...
As you can see in these videos students are provided with everything whilst attending our plumbing courses. You will not need to bring anything with you, we will supply all of the tools, equipment, materials and appliances needed to learn. We aim to provide a hands-on approach to learning, after all the best way to learn is to get stuck in! Of course, our instructors are there to guide you the entire way, they have years of experience working out in the industry themselves and now teaching at our centre they understand how to convey the lessons they learn to our students giving you valuable insight into the industry. They have come across every problem that you can imagine and overcome them and they will teach you to approach these situations the same. We hope to give our students an edge on the industry with our teaching and that students go on to build a successful career!
We offer an array of different courses, however, when it comes to plumbing there is one major qualification that is perfect for somebody looking to make that first step towards a career in the trade and that is our City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing Course! This course is 6-weeks in total and will teach you to become a professional from scratch. Starting with the more basic aspects and working towards more advanced theory and skills the course will cover a large range of topics including; electrical principles and processes, common plumbing processes, cold water systems, domestic hot water systems, sanitation, central heating systems, drainage systems and more. The course will land you a City & Guilds Level 2 qualification, which is recognised by everybody in the industry!
Plumbing courses Able Skills.
We also offer what we call a 'Home-Study' option, our Home Study Level 2 Plumbing Course which aims to reduce the amount of time spent here at our centre. We do this by giving you a 'Home-Study Pack' which includes all of the theory surrounding this level 2 award. Instead of learning the theory from an instructor, you will learn from this learning material, so it is important that you take your time with it and make sure that you gain a full understanding of everything included in the pack. This could take you anywhere between 3 - 6 months and you can get started straight away after applying! You will also have access to the online learning platform 'Smartscreen' as a tool for further information. Once you are confident that you know what you have been given you will then book 4-weeks during which to learn the practical side of the trade and complete the assessments necessary to achieve this qualification!
