Plumbing training courses could be set for a popularity boost among British women after an expert suggested they make for ideal plumbers.
Speaking to the Independent, Hattie Hasan explained more females should get into the industry because they are generally punctual, realise that respect is vital and are able to perform careful, "well-executed jobs".
Ms Hasan told the publication that she set up her own business in 1990 - called Stopcocks Women Plumbers - as she found full-time employment "in such a-male dominated field" was hard to come by.
"We have been building the brand on the four pillars of respect, quality of service, peace of mind and aftercare," she explained.
The company states its coverage around the UK is increasing day by and is now a central and underfloor heating specialist.
And this advice could lead to growing numbers of women wanting to gain their approved plumber qualifications by enrolling on a plumbing training course in the near future.
